Alan Myerson - Director
Alan began his career in New York City after studies at Pepperdine
and UCLA. He directed theater on and off Broadway before moving
to Chicago to direct the Second City theatrical group. In 1963
he moved further west and founded The Committee in both San
Francisco and Los Angeles, where he was a director until 1974.
During that time Alan taught acting and directing at UC Berkeley
and at San Francisco State. Alan has written film scripts, including
the movie, IT'S SHOWTIME! and directed three hundred theatrical
features, numerous television films and pilots and more than
a hundred television episodes. He is a member of the DGA, the
Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Television
Academy, and is listed in WHO WHO'S IN AMERICA. He has been
nominated for an Emmy, a DGA Best Lessons and Steelyard Blues.

Charles Merzbacher

Professor of Film Boston University College of Communication
BA (hon.), Williams College; MFA, University of Southern California
School of Cinema-Television. Professor Merzbacher has taught
film producing, directing, screenwriting, and basic cinematography
in a number of prominent film programs. He is a member of the
master faculty at the International Film & Television Workshops
in Rockport, Maine and has served as Executive Vice President
of Altar Rock Films, Inc. His films have been screened in festivals
around the world, including the Chicago International Film Festival,
the Sundance Film Festival, the San Francisco Film Festival,
the USA Film Festival, the Columbus International Film Festival
and the National Educational Film & Video Festival. His
first feature, Jane Street, premiered at the British Film Institute
in March 1997. He is currently the Acting Chairman of the Department
of Film and Television.
